Ahhh... you'll be fine. If you're really worried get some marine tuf-cloth or ren-wax. Also, I've found that motor oil works pretty well, too.
Once I forgot to take my RMD out of it's wet sheath for a week. There were some water drop-lets on the edge and the entire sheath was definitely not dried. After I took the knife out, there was just a couple of spots on the edge. A few strokes on the strop and it was all gone.
SR-77, as I've heard from the yard, is less prone to rust than even SR-101.
The only way to weaken the blade is by messing with the heat treat. I don't think anyone will be heating a blade to 3500 degrees and just let it sit there. Right? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
