I would consider a khukri from Scrap Yard depending on price, but I honestly don't have much interest in a khukri.

I would much rather have a good modern variation of a Golok or a Barong - either with about a 15" - 16" blade or so.

To pay $100 - $150 for a longer blade, it would have to differentiate itself from a machete in some worthy ways.

If I can buy a $10 - $25 VERY worthy machete that only needs some quality edge work done to it and maybe some light sanding to the handle, I don't want to pay $100 - $150 for a blade that is barely different .... and still needs edge work.

I like Bark River, but Mike recently took a bunch of Ontario 1095 machete blanks and made $150 machetes.

Granted, the Bark River machetes have very nice custom handles, excellent re-profiled edges and a custom leather sheath. But, ..... I still can't justify the price for the changes - ..... and those are three upgraded custom features I don't expect from Scrap Yard.

So, a Scrap Yard blade needs to be unique and well designed.
