Yeah, I want to leave the patina, but I want something that'll loosen the pivot points and assist in taking the rust off. To open them up right now, I need to use a pair of pliers to do so. I've already tried soaking them in WD-40 as one guy suggested to me, but it hasn't helped at all.

Question, what do you guys suggest for an oil? I've got some no name stuff I picked up from the local hardware store, but I'm wondering if there's something better out there you might know of.
