The ASH is one of my all time favorite knives. The blade length is perfect for EDC or hikes, great handle design, good looks. I prefer the thicker one but I carry the skinny more. Easier to tote around IWB so as not to raise any eyebrows in metropolitan Phoenix.

When camp is set up and wood needs to be chopped I'd prefer something like a Battle Mistress or a Dogfather. Carrying on the belt and hiking around for a day I prefer the ASH.
