I have a CG ASH-1. It is a knife that people pick up and say, "What the heck...?" It seems bomb-proof.
It's a relatively short blade for how thick it is, so it's easier to carry but heavy for it's length. This also helps it chop well for a short blade. The handle is secure but, does not allow you to slide your hand down for more leverage while chopping. I left mine stock and it slices fairly well too. That being said, I'm sending it to Nate to put a convex edge on it.
I'd describe it as a compact indestructible jack-of-all-trades.
