I did a few things on my 10/22...actually it doesn't look much like the stock 10/22 anymore. It shoots twice as good, and accurate . The thing with 10/22 is that you can upgrade as you go. It shoots pretty well out of the box but upgrade options are crazy with the 10/22. You can totally mod it to your liking (almost like the AR15s)

with that said, you don't even need to upgrade at all if you don't want to. My 10/22 stayed stock for a few years and it was fine!
