I think the AR bubble is about to bust. I am seeing rifles on tables at shows and on the dealers shelves now. However, you can tell who is priced and who isn't. Eventually the manufacturers will get caught up and people will start selling because they don't need the AR, school stuff, or credit card bills.
I know a couple weekends ago Model 1 Sales and M^A parts houses were at the Wannamacher Gun Show. There were plenty kits, they were sold out by sunday afternoon, but they had them. The guys at the booths were telling people that they could wait on their orders or get them there and cancel the orders. The problem is getting all the kits packed and shipped. A couple friends bought different configurations but I know one kit was flat top with lt wt brl, chrome lined brl, and everything except a lower receiver for like 485. A lower receiver can be had for around 110.00 and shipping/transfer so say 150. Right there is a functioning AR that will be good to go for 635. A CMMG kit is 200 bucks so that is 850 for a whole deal. Yeah, i know there are mags but I still see GI mags for 10 bucks and a local dealer is selling P-Mags, non-window, for 15 bucks. CMMG has the new .22lr mags for 20 bucks a piece.
The way I see it it is hitting 2 birds with one stone. Kinda ins. for BHO second term (if we are unlucky). With the kit a person can train for a lot less than 5.56mm and still have the option for small or large game.
