This version of the Boss Streets has not been delivered to anyone yet. I do not think there are any reviews posted as of yet, besides some calling for thinner blade stock.

For a custom blade there are a few considerations. The blade design is somewhat new and has not been released with options as of yet. There is a good chance that sometime later this year it will be re-released with options as to finish, scales, and coating colors. If you are impatient for this to happen, or you do not think it will, one way to find out information on having yours customized would be to contact Garth over on the Busse sub-forum on Bladeforums. You could also try contacting the shop through the various Busse websites.

Another option might be to just wait for it to arrive before you decide to change the scales. There have been posts stating that the scales that come with the knife are some of the most comfortable to have been released to date.

For a woodscraft knife it might be a bit overly thick at .220". For its size it really does not need to be nearly that thick in order to be all but indestructible. It certainly should stand up to just about anything anyone can dish out especially with normal or even very hard use. The full flat grind is nice and it should be easy to convex. It will likely be very sharp for a user knife and keep a usable edge for an extremely long time. Many people will likely reprofile the edge giving it a shallower angle, backing up the relief. Either way it will not 'need' modification to function well but may benefit it for optimal performance.
