Dan - your story really hits home! Right after I pulled out of the Dentist's parking lot and got 1/2 mile down the road I got pulled over. When the officer walked up I asked him "what did I do?" and mentioned that I had just left the dentist's office. He said I was actually doing 47 in a 35 zone, and that caught his attention. When he returned from checking out my license and insurance, he said "well, here's hoping that my giving you a pass (no ticket!) will make you feel a little better". I thanked him, promised to watch my speed better, and drove away.
