Micarta and Res-C are my favorite handle materials. I like Canvas and Linen Micarta the best, I've worked with both in making handles and found the superior in many ways for me. G-10 makes great folder handles, but I prefer Micarta for fixed blades. Micarta is lighter than G-10 too.

I feel G-10 would last longer then the rest but I hated it for shock-resistance.
(fine in a small blade)
for looks wood is amazing but I tend to "baby" it.
for grip and feel I like Micarta.
