87B: I think you're doing pretty good with your specs, EXCEPT for the finger grooves. They ARE nice. I have had more than one with them, but personally I think that for a "Survival" knife they would be more a hindrance. BECAUSE, have you ever used a knife with finger grooves with the edge up for any length of time, with quite a bit of pressure? Gets to feeling pretty uncomfortable after a while.
