YES! The ergo of the Axe Hammer (and listed SJTACs) is "boxy / flat" because the scales are ... well ... flat. The belly and humpback on the handle feels good, but the scales don't feel the voids in the other direction. It makes for a light, but slow feeling blade.

The one is out for delivery today. However, this doesn't mean it'll arrive today. Rural mail...

Anyway, I've been whining on here enough about getting a bushcraft offering from the Yard, and it doesn't appear to be in the making so I went to the Swamp. I actually prefer full tang with applied scales so the Vex has great promise. This is all speculation as I've not even held it yet!

If we like them, I'm going to have a blue sheath made for my wife's. Maybe she'll actually use this one. I keep buying her bruisers, but she only admires them when I pull them out for internet pictures...because she knows what I paid for all of that satin infi...
