That's pretty much what it is, they just de-burr it and usually add a convex edge.
That's what I figured. What I don't understand, then, is why they cost more.
I'm not sure if they cost any more than a coated blade. Are you looking at the secondary market prices? I believe the sellers are charging higher prices because cf is more desirable now that it isn't a regular option anymore.
