I once had a lady ask me what kind of gun she should get. I recommended a revolver for it's simplicity. Load the cylinder and forget about it until you need it.

I then asked her what kind of ammunition she wanted to use and went on to explain about wadcutters, hollowpoints, +P etc etc. She then said "Oh I won't load it I just want to scare them". I told her to NOT buy a gun.
