I took out the HC today between thunderstorms. A little slicing, notching, batonning and such. It's about the same size as the average tactical folder. Here it is with the Al Mar SERE 2000.

I put a nice fine edge on it and it would slice curls of wood pretty well.

The handle feels great in the hand. The thumb ramp and choil are usable, even for my big hands.

I did some splitting of kindling, which the HC did fine on. I wouldn't recommend using a folder like the SERE for this, although some folks do.

Then came the point test. I have done this with the SS4, Meaner Street, and even a Mora without damaging the point. I drive the point into the wood and then try to chunk out a piece.

Darn. I like the little HC, but 154CM isn't INFI!

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
