Yes, I have done this with the SS4 and Meaner Street with no problems. I even traded the Meaner off and it still looked new. I think the 154CM steel is great for cutting and even batonning, but it ain't INFI or SR77. This is some tough oak, though. No worries. Eric said he will replace it.
