ok so ive been ona couple ride alongs already and it was cool but friday was the most interactive ive ever experienced.

he let me handle the radar gun and id point out which car was speeding and what speed they were going, and he let me write the speeding ticket!

he also let me write a ticket for someone running a stop sign. it was pretty cool and i really had a blast. he also told me what to say (get this, he had me talk to the people when we pulled them over, and yes i was behind him first,and once it was clear he let me forward)

we went to a domestic disturbance call where he handed me his radio and had me talk to dispatch using the q-codes and stuff, and i had dispatch run the names via radio.

THENnnn we went to a burglary where a family's home was broken into just before they were going to disney (so sad) and since he didnt speak spanish (ironically enough, being a cop in SoFla i figured it was almost required) so i spoke with the victims and translated for him.


REALLY enjoyed myself and by far my best ride along experience as of yet.

i have another on the 9th with the city of miami! so we'll see how that goes
