I never made it past windows xp myself. i guess there's something to the later windows versions but I got a lot of work done with xp and hated the idea of struggling with the changes. apple was a easy decision vs. pulling teeth with windows vista. I had no interest in windows 7 after that.
my first laptop had vista on it, as did one of my daughters. Horrible system, up-graded both to win 7, MUCH BETTER system. i hate how microsoft throws out inferior (beta) products then charges you an arm and a leg to up-grade from them. it will be interesting to see what happens to apple if they get popular enough for the hackers to get interested in them
