I did it last night. I pulled the plug on a new Leatherman Wave in Stainless Steel for $48.00.
Alright! Congrats! You’ll have to give us a review after you get it and try it out. I think you’ll be really happy with it.
i own those tools too but my sears no longer carries them.
Really? Hm…I hope they don’t phase ‘em out. Kinda makes it hard to trade them in. Good thing I have more than 2-3 of each model already.
They now make an extension you can plug into the socket. It adds three inches to the screwdriver. It also takes standard hex bits. You are no longer limited to the specialty Leatherman flat bits. You can use any hex bit you can find.
Alright! I didn’t know about that. Thanks for the info!
Leatherman has a good warranty. I broke a screwdriver blade off once, prying with it. When I returned it, they not only replaced the broken blade, but updated the other blades to current specs, ans put a new pliars head, with wire snips, on it. NO charge. That impressed me.
That’s good to hear. I’ve never had to use a Leatherman warranty, but it sounded kinda iffy to me since it said limited lifetime warranty or something like that. So far the only thing wrong with my Charge is the diamonds are wearing off the file. I dunno if they’d cover that or not. I pretty much only use it on fingernails.
