What's spooky is how you responded so quickly to my post, bld522. I can't find the topic headline on the main index page! (Am I missing something here?)
That said, I greatly appreciate the quick reply. Believe it or not, your remarks were extremely helpful.
Something I neglected to mention is that I'm not a knife collector, so I'm looking to use it. What I have at the moment is a locking SAK that will balance some things out for me. (My SAK appears to be an older version of the Fireman locking pocket knife.) It has been my trusty companion for several years, but I've been feeling for quite some time that I need something more substantial to accompany it.
I've obsessed sufficiently about this new purchase-in-the-making that I have become starved for specifics. I imagine I could even be sold on a Dumpster Mutt if I could overcome my doubts about it's crazy thickness. It just doesn't seem like I could do much more than pry, bang and throw that lil' beast around--as cool as that would be, but as a general camp/field knife I have a hard time with its girth.
I certainly I don't want to keep anyone from commenting just because he or she doesn't have each knife. So, for those who own one or the other, how do you feel your S6 or RD6 manages in comparison to other 5-7 inchers, as well? The more you've used 'em the better...
Again, much appreciated.
