Thanks to all you dogs who've been so responsive to my questions! Prince of Peace kinda nailed it when he said I had already made my choice. Sometimes reality comes to smack ya right in the face: I think I really do want that Scrapper! I guess I just needed a little push and reassurance that it could still be a practical blade. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your experiences with these knives. It helps me to understand what to expect, and what to not expect.

For example, posts like KnifeGuy's remarks about fit and finish on the Rangers are very helpful in a strange way. I read those kinds of things a few times in a forum I recently found about Ranger Knives, and it actually didn't deter me because the beauty of those knives seem to be more with the price, function, performance and expectations of the purchaser. It seems that most people who order a production Ranger expect those things AND ONLY LOVE THE KNIFE EVEN MORE because they can now afford a knife that in function and performance is high end, and Justin's service and support make it worthwhile. The respect Junk Yard Dogs have for his work has been readily apparent in your posts.

Wow, do I ever wish I could be at Blade West. Those overruns look great.

You all have gone above and beyond to help a pup out. I can't thank you enough.
