If you just want to cut, and don't care as much about the "hard use" aspect, or prying, I'm also a big fan of RAT Cutlery / Ontario RAT - they're worth a look.

The Mutt is pretty thick and is as much prybar as knife. I have 2 of them - one that I EDC sometimes, the other stays in my survival kit. It does cut, but not like a 3/16" blade will.

The Dogfather is the king of the choppers - undisputed heavyweight champion if you will.

The RD's take on a nice edge - I don't have a full height ground Scrapyard blade, mine are all about 2/3 height grind - and have pretty obtuse edges. I'd imagine that the S6 is a better cutter than the Scrappers that I personally have.

I'm pretty interested in seeing what Dan has coming out in this next release - should be some great stuff.
