We can't have Hi cap mags so the classic single stack .45 is nice for my smal hands.
The 9mm is an excellent round I think Americans just hate anything metric on principle.
7.62/54 has been around for over a hundred years and is still a viable military round. A Finn Sniper used the Mosin to kill over 500 Soviets single handed(he got another 250 with a subgun). It is also the cheapest centrefire rifle round now that the 7.62/39 has gone up in price so much.
The K98 mauser has the best action of any firearm ever made period. It is the best bolt action ,bolt action is the best type of action game set and match. The Israeli and Spanish version are now available in .308. The Argentine 1909 is one of the finest military(or any) rifles ever made.
A 45/70 is definitly manly but a bit outdated.
