If the DFLE is so tough and indestructible, why is it that people feel the need to purchase more than one (some as many as 4).
Or are they purchasing several purely for resale on the secondary market down the road at a marked-up price?
If this is the case, I think that sales should be restricted to one knife per person. A company like Randall has had to do this as well, for the same reason...
IMO it's not fair or right that people buy up all available stocks and then re-sell them later at a profit. I don't think its any secret that this practice happens a lot with Busse/SR/SY products.
Just look at how many turn up on the BF Exchange 'brand new and unused'.
I realise this post will not make me popular but I feel it needs to be said. This is not sour grapes, the knife is still available in the store (miracle!) but I don't have the cash right now.
I can bet they'll be all gone by tomorrow though.... and before long they'll be turning up on the Exchange for around $250, maybe more. A tidy little profit for very little work.
