I love the secondary market and view it as the "real' price and the price we pay at the store as an occasional sale or bargain. It is not like anyone makes you buy a secondary knife ,you could always just wait until the next release but then you would be stuck with what they make. I think the free market for some things is good. If it was not for strong prices people would not put their knives up for sale and you could not find what you want.
