I'm pretty impressed with the SAR4, and in some ways you can compare it to the RMD, but in other ways it's different. Overall I'd say realistically the RMD is a better value, but the SAR4 is very capable of being a great dependable camp and survival knife and it sure is purty too! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I originally expected the SAR4 to be a small or small medium sized knife, but it definately falls in the medium multi purpose category.
