This is not a woodcraft blade no matter what you change.
Why do you say that? Is 5" too big for woodcraft or is there another reason?
Well, it's not the right shape. The blade is too high and you really need a spear point for fine work. Also, the grip is too shaped and contoured and even if there was no choil, the first finger would be too far from the edge.
