As far as sales and marketing is concerned, normal rules do not apply here. This is Busse Country, and Busse rules apply here. While I believe Dan and Jerry listen to our desires to a certain extent, I suspect they tend to build what pleases them. If what pleases them pleases us, and it usually does, then fine. If not, knives are summarily withdrawn and Dan & Jerry are off to their next design.
Generally, I have to agree this seems to be how it is done.
And to some degree in "some" cases, I can appreciate this mentallity. I have read enough posts to see certain design desires to be scattered so randomly over the map, that a business might not have much choice but just use their own experience in a design, make it and move on.
However, in some cases, such as this one, where the majority is over-welmingly in favor of making a few minor tweaks.
If making these tweaks, result in a better knife with increased sales that is desired by MORE people, I wouldn't be able to understand NOT conceding to the masses and Bussiness loyalty bases opinions/requests.
But,... again, for all I know, the call has already been made and the design may already be committed to.
I will try "Hoping" anyway.
