Which means Dan would have to set a quantity limit. And he's not going to do that. Nor do I believe he'll raise his prices because of potential price increases in the secondary market. And that's pretty much all there is to it.
That would be the end of buying spares, buying extras for gifts, buying extras to cover people who couldn't camp in front of the computer at the right time, etc. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face! I also think Dan will keep his pricing inline with his norm. As I've said, people set their prices for their own reasons. I think Dan's goals are pretty clear; to provide a product of incredible quality and functionality at an unbeatable value -- resellers bedamned.
