My SAK, bic lighter or other small knife covers the bottle opening thing. If it's intended as a blade catcher like a Spanish notch then the clip really needs to be sharpened since in order to make effective use of it you will have to use the knife edge up.

HD has the rite idea however guns aren't always the best choice at a knife fight best to bring a big knife along.
