Im realy sold on building my own AR. I do have another question tho. I want to build a compact yet light AR. Is there any regulations on how long the barrel and gun have to be??
It has to be 16 inches long to not be and SBR. An SBR would have to be registered as an NFA weapon. The 16 inches can include the flash hider/suppressor if it is permanently attached. If it is just threaded on then the barrel must be 16 inches.
