Ish, I have owned both RDS (various Aimpoints and EoTechs) and Low-Power-Variables. The RDS is fine for up to 100+/- meters and for really really fast CQB acquisition. The LPV is better for everything else, and also good at CQB / within 100.

The only problem I have with LPV's is the lack of a true 1x setting. I wish they would make one that is actually 1x instead of 1.1x or 1.25x.

If Trijicon's TR24G wasn't an $800 optic in a $200 mount I'd have them on everything that currently has an EoTech on it. As it stands, I only have two Trijicon Accupoints and two EoTechs.
