The res-c is fine for grip and comfy for hacking but when you start whacking the top of the blade to baton wood the vibration from the handle hurts.
Really? I've never encountered this problem. Every full tang knife I own (including customs) transmits WAY more shock to my hand while batonning than any of the res-c handled knives I've ever owned. This is a major selling point for me.
