YUP, I remember that my Grandma and Grandpa had a "Cistern" at their house. Rainwater ran off the "Tin" roof and into the cistern. No one back then of course thought anything about filtering their water. Oh wait, it DID have several layers of screen to filter out the big stuff and the bugs. Great tasting water too.
