Welcome Welcome SH! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I have an S6 and a RD7. IMO the S6 is one of the best camp/field blades out there. I do like the res-c handles for so many reasons, and I do chop/baton with it. I also slice, carve, whittle, and pry with it! Sure if it were thinner it would be easier to do some task with it, but I got it to do everything and it does, at the very least-good enough. My RD7 is a beast and I trust it to do the tough jobs too.

But I feel the S6 (with res-c) feels better in my hand and the balance is superb. Dicemans descriptions of the S6 are right on! It does it all, you'll luv it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Justin at Ranger is a pleasure to do business with, one of the class acts of the knife world, and his blades are semi-customs at production costs.
