That seems really odd to me, wow, I would think that is a total fluke. Glad Eric is there to make it right, I wouldn't let that shy you off from beating your new chopweiller when you get it bud, chances are that won't happen again.

I don't think it was a fluke some how? And maybe I don't know my own strength, who knows. But if I do end up getting another CW, I can tell you, it will be sold as quick as I can find a buyer. It will be replaced with either a SOD or a NMSFNO. My son is getting the SOD, so the NMSFNO would gel.

It was the same deal with rifles for me. One mishap/fail/jam etc & I'm out, but that's just me. Plus I rely on my knives to survive at times, so I just cannot have steel that wont cut the mustard. I'm sorry fellas, I know plenty here love their SR's, but that the way I feel. But considering this is a Scrap Yard forum there is nothing to worry about. I loves my SY's!, they are superb knives.

I should also point out, that I popped a deers hip & jaw with my YKLE. And I can tell you their was much more force involved, & you guessed it, all sweet no tip failure. Seriously man, Scrap Yard steel is something special. I know it's the cheaper version of the three, but some how I believe cheaper is not inferior, especially in Scrap Yards case. So I'll be sticking with Scrap Yards & Busse knives from now on!
