If my friends weren't stationed there I never would have went. Once you get past the tourist attractions it just becomes another place.

There is a LOT of crime against tourists there though. Mostly thefts from rooms and rental cars, but sometimes they get beat up/robbed.

I was immune from that because of my residing on base except for the sightseeing thing.
