I just knew there were some users of those popular Japanese knives here. Thanks, guys. I still think SY could make some kick butt kitchen knives. They already have with the Bird Dog. Now to convince Dan that the Santoku is a combat knife. Mudder handled and flat ground 1/8" 154CM about 6" long. In the mean time, I'll check out the Shun.
