I think that everything should be legal.
A shard from a broken prison cafeteria tray is just as, or more deadly than any plastic knife made.
Banning the plastic knives from the Cold Steel catalog does absolutely nothing, and does not make anyone safer.
Not saying to ban it - I'm a die hard conservative republican (I swear!) and I'm all for having an armed public - but there are some personal issues I have w/ some of that stuff, as far as it being total crap w/ very little legitimate use.
