Well.... hmmmm. I am glad Dan is making this knife, but I just don't know that the heavily upswept curve is what I personally want. This knife is a good multi-purpose design and 154CM (Especically Busse 154CM) "IS a good steel choice for this knife.... even if I might still prefer SR-101. But, IMO, the upswept belly is more suited for skinning and some kitchen use - even if still versatile in the field.
Again, I still feel the design is quite versatile, but I don't skin many animals much anymore and without the need to skin animals, I lean towards a much shallower belly as I like a shallower belly for my chore and task uses. Yes, I have many knives already with a shallower belly. And yes, the original Nessmuks have a curved belly very similar to this Scrap Muk. So, this is a fairly good representation combining Mudder grips into a Nessmuk design.

I don't think it would be fair for me to post my original Scrap-Muk concept, but I missed out again. I am very happy with how the MPLE came out though.

I passed on the SOD as I already have a Camp Tramp and while there may be some subtle changes and possibly even some subtle pros and cons in SOD vs. Camp Tramp, I felt covered with my Camp Tramp. - I (selfishly) was really hoping for something closer to the Scrapweiler concept.

Similarly, with this Scrap Muk I was hoping for a shallower belly like my Scrap Muk concept. On my concept, I had the blades edge up VERY close to the grip and even under part of the leading edge of Mudder grip. But, I would be fine with the ricasso as this Scrap Muk has which allows for choking up.... I just would have prefered a shallower belly.

Maybe, I will get lucky with the Mega-Muk concept or Scrap Ruck or some sort of Scrap-kukri or something. I would probably prefer the Mega-Muk in differentially heat-treated SR-101, but the Scrap Ruck and a Kukri "BEG" for SR-77.
