I used to think that I would not have a beat encounter here in Oklahoma, but I have been hearing a lot of reports about bears down in the southeastern part of the state. I guess the bears are following the Arkansas River into the state. This is an area that I plan to camp in this spring so I better be prepared for anything--generally it is the two legged problems that I worry about. My kit will be heavy but I will be ready!
