Well... I just noticed one more think I wish were different <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> ..... Surprised I missed this.

The other Mudder Handled knives: Bog Dog, SS4 - of similar size and even the smaller bladed MPLE have the finger choil "RIGHT" in front of the Res-C guard - Which I LIKE and prefer = LESS WASTED blade edge and a more comfortable choked up position.

I REALLY like how the Guard/choil is designed on the Bog Dog and SS4!

The metal guard shown on this S5LE is like many of the other guards on most other Scrappers and many Swamp Rats that I don't care for. Too large, un-needed with no advantage that I see for me and my uses, wasted blade edge, longer stretch/reach to choke up than I like for comfort, etc.

I don't personally see any advantages of the larger guard and wish the S5 had a guard/choil design more like the Bog Dog's and SS4's guard/choil. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I can't see in the picture "disguised" picture very well how large the finger choil is. I hope it is not too over-sized.

.... just being honest. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

In spite of this, I think this will be very nice. But, that is a small asterix - for me anyway. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
