im not sure how i feel about it being sr101... i like that steel but i am a fan of sr77. i personally feel that it is just a better steel, all the way around, and costs less too is im not mistaken.

Yeah... RS.... for your uses, SR-77 DOES make a better pry-bar......

.....Whereas SR-101 is ONLY one of the best "KNIFE" steels you can buy with some of the best qualities for a cutting tool. And since "Cutting" and edge properties don't mean anything to you, I don't see how a knife such as the S5 that is "designed" as a FINE cutting tool with FINE cutting steel would really be what you would want.

And while SR-101 is generally considered VERY tough and tougher than WAY more than most of the knife steels in the industry, it still just really isn't as tough as SR-77.

Sure, the S5 with SR-101 is VERY tough and still able to pry reaonably well for a "Knife" and still going to be VERY tough. But, sorry, the S5 still just doesn't seem to be a great pry-bar.

I think you might just have to sit this one out. Sorry buddy.... Maybe next time...
