Me too. The squared choil is obviously a design element that has become a Scrap Yard trademark. But its utility eludes me.
+1
I mentioned before, I think Mudders work well with a functional finger choil as on the Bog Dog and SS4. My hands actually tend to want to choke up on the mudders for some reason. So, I am fine with a choil on Mudders. But, the square choils aren't very comfortable IMO and the larger guard on the S5 pushes the finger choil and blade edge further from the handle than I prefer.
I would much rather see the functional finger choil as was on the Bog Dog and SS4. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
But, there is SO much else to like about the S5 anyway! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
