I think the squared choil is fine. It has at least as much utility as Busse's talon hole.
Square choils are definitely not the best option for me. But, they are better than a Talon Hole and WAY better than a Talon Hole combined with a "NON"-functioning sized choil. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />
