Would they really make the LE and CG versions using two different steels? Have they ever done that before? That would be cool.

A lot of the things I have read on steels say that 154CM is good if you can get old stock...otherwise most have switched to ATS-34 because of the imperfections found in newer 154CM due to changes in the manufacturing process.

I like a lot of steels and find that there are a lot of opinions on them <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I don't have any SR-77 blades and that is what makes the SY knives unique - so I kind of hope for that but it is a nice knife no matter the steel.

Just curious...Why 154CM as the other steel? Why not ATS-34 or S30V or VG-10, etc.? This is just a question for curiosities sake.
