I'll be passing on this one, I've read alot of posts about it and everyones opinions, to me it seems like a flaw, take for example the batoning issue, place the blade on the log and start to hit the spine, well if the log is to big , you only have the tip to hit, alot of the times the blade will wanna angle down towards the force resulting in the top of the guard getting damaged, so we need to either pull the blade And start over or be a misfit and strike toward the handle area once again resulting in hitting the handle causing damage, either way it will happen, and apparently has happened.
I can see changing the choil area after tests have been made, but to change the grind? What's the point of testing if the blade geometry has changed? Maybe another test run is in order, or just pass it all off and run it? Anyway those that get the regulator have fun with it and enjoy it, I'll be sitting this one out.
