I hear you. Again, by looking at it, I wholeheartedly agree...it is just the thickness that is throwing me off. But I do really love the "steep" clip point on it, and while some have compared it to the HG5 (I think that was the knife), the reg is more appealing to me as it just looks much more aggressive. I think I am one of those (few) who would rather see it thinner rather than thicker, but that is just MO and I think I will buy one either way. My question regarding the thickness of a fighter was not to be difficult, just more along the lines of trying to see where people were coming from by saying that it was "soup to nuts" a fighter and not a camp knife.
As far as sending some to military units...just makes me very hopeful that my beloved sage/green color combo will be available as it is by far the best match to ABUs/ACUs. Not that I will be sporting it in uniform...not too sure my superiors would approve <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
