I can't blame you for passing on it as that's certainly your prerogative however I have no such plans. I will certainly get one or two, price permitting.
For me, I have no intention of batoning with a bowie style knife -- if I'm going to baton I'd like to use something like a chopper. As many have stated this is a fighter type knife I believe.
Regardless, if my thought is "let's go chop some wood" I'm NOT going to reach for the bowie! I understand the mentality of "I want this knife to do everything I want it to do" but the fact is that certain designs will just not be as good as other designs will be at certain things.
For instance if I need to STAB something, I'm not going to reach for the chopper. If I need to baton, I'm not going to reach for the bowie. Etc.
Seems like a no brainer don't it. But you never know what situation you might find your self in.
