Traditional Chinese zombies are called "jiang shi". Their means of locomotion involves hopping around with their arms extended like giant decomposing bunnies. Because they can only hop, they are unable enter a room if the threshold is raised. If you visit China, you will notice all doors have a raised threshold for this purpose. I thought the person telling me that was full of BS till I saw a Taiwanese zombie movie and the kids that were being chased were saved by running into an outdoor pavilion that had a raised threshold all around its perimeter. All the zombies sat around the pavilion hopping about but unable to enter and feast on their young nubile brains.
